The Macao China cycling team participated in the 2017 Japan Field Cycling Asian Cup from 7 to 9 July in Japan, competing against athletes from various Asian countries and regions. The Macao team sent athletes to compete in categories including youth scratch, points race, elite all-around game, and Madison. The competing athletes included Kwok Mun Wa, Lao Long San, Ieong Chi Son, Lam Hou In and Ao Hoi Ian. Among them, Ao Hoi Ian was awarded a bronze medal in the youth women's scratch category.
In the competition of the 30-round (7.5 kilometers in total) youth women's scratch, Ao Hoi Ian competed with contestants from different places. She was finally placed below two contestants from Japan, and became the third one reaching the finishing line. Having made history in being awarded a bronze medal in the youth women's scratch category in the Asian Track Cycling Championships hosted in New Delhi, India, in February, Ao Hoi Ian won honor for Macao once again.
