Co-organized by Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government and Asia League , ”East Asia Super League - THE TERRIFIC 12” basketball tournament will be held from 17-22 September, 2019 at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macao. The top 12 professional clubs from China, Japan, Korea and the Philippines have assembled their starting rosters with star domestic and foreign import players to compete for “THE TERRIFIC 12” crown.
From Chinese Basketball Association(CBA), the Liaoning Flying Leopards’ six-time CBA All-Star, Guo Ailun, leads his team making their first appearance in “THE TERRIFIC 12” event. The 211 cm National Team Center and CBA All-Star, Shen Zijie, will pilot the newly branded Shenzhen Aviators. China National Team guard, Sun Minghui, will front Zhejiang Guangsha as they return to “THE TERRIFIC 12” for another shot at history.
Japan’s B.LEAGUE also sends another outstanding lineup in an effort to ensure “THE TERRIFIC 12” trophy stays in Japan. The Chiba Jets return with All-Star forward, Ryumo Ono, at the helm looking to take home their first championship since 2017. The B.LEAGUE’s most impressive player, Kei Igarashi, will lead the Niigata Albriex BB in their first appearance. Former B.LEAGUE MVP, Makoto Hiejima, makes his return debut with Utsunomiya Brex after playing in the NBA Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans. Finally, last year’s champions, The Ryukyu Golden Kings, make their return to “THE TERRIFIC 12” led by last year’s Finals MVP, Ryuichi Kishimoto.
The Korean Basektball League (KBL) teams are stacked with National Team and All-Star talent. National Team star, Lee Jung-hyun, leads Jeonju KCC Egis. He’s joined by alongside his other National Team star, Kim Sun-hyung, of the Seoul SK Knights looking to guide a Korean team to their first “THE TERRIFIC 12” championship.
Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) sends three of their top teams including three-time PBA All-Star Mark Belo and the Blackwater Elite returning to Asia League tournament for another shot at the title. June Mar Fajardo, a seven-time PBA champion, looks to add to his long list of accolades with the San Miguel Beermen. Finally, six-time PBA Champion Jayson Castro leads TNT KaTropa in what’s sure to be a fiercely competitive Group D.
Team’s lineups will also boast top foreign imports such as former NBA players Aaron Jackson, Brandon Bass, Jack Cooley, Jameel Warney, Lance Stephenson, Pierre Jackson and Shabazz Muhammad.

Ticket prices for the group stage of ”East Asia Super League - THE TERRIFIC 12” (17 September- 19 September) are set at MOP 50 for standard ticket and MOP 100 for courtside seat ticket. Semi-Finals and Finals (21 September-22 September) tickets are MOP 200 for standard ticket and MOP 400 for courtside seat ticket. Full five-day tournament packages are also available at MOP 400 (standard ticket).
