The "FIVB Volleyball World Grand PrixTM Macao 2014 presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group", organized by the Macao Sport Development Board and the Volleyball Association of Macao, China and sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group, will be held once again at the Macao Forum from August 15 to 17. Due to changes in the final players list, candidates of the “My Favorite Galaxy Star Player” has been updated from Nana Iwasaka to Saori Kimura (JPN) and Jovana Brakocevic to Maja Orgnjenovic (SRB).
As in the previous editions, to enhance public participation and to spread around the fun and excitement of this annual tournament, “My Favourite Galaxy Star Player” award will be hosted once again to offer spectators the opportunities to vote for their favourite players and be in with a chance to win fabulous prizes. In the past 5 years, the “My Favourite Galaxy Star Player” awards were all bagged by athletes from the China Team, including Wang Yimei (2009, 2013), Xue Ming (2010) and Hui Ruoqi (2011, 2012).
This year, 2 players from each country are nominated by the Sport Journalist Association of Macao and Hong Kong, the 8 final candidates of “My Favorite Galaxy Star Player” are: Zhu Ting and Hui Ruoqi from China, Saori Kimura and Risa Shinnabe from Japan, Kim Yeon-Koung and Kim Hee-Jin from Korea, Maja Orgnjenovic and Jelena Nikolic from Serbia.
