The 2013 Macao International Kart Grand Prix, organized by Automobile General Association of Macao-China (AAMC) and supported by Macao Sport Development Board (MSDB) and Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO), will be held from 8 to 11 October at the Coloane Karting Track in Macao. The Organizing Committee hosted a press conference yesterday (26 Sep) to provide details of the event.
Around 100 karters from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Macao will contest in 7 races involving a total of 9 groups, including the Asian Karting Open Championship (AKOC) Formula 125 Open Senior, Junior and Veteran Class; Rotax Max Senior; Mini Rok; SQ Formula Cadet and Senior Class; as well as the KZ Macao Cup and Rotax Max AAMC Cup. Macao karters including Andy Chang Wing Chung, Cheong Chi On and João Afonso will participate in the event.
Spectators looking to experience the excitement of this 4-day event will be admitted free into the venue.
