The 9th Asian Age Group Swimming Championships took place from 9th to 16th September in Uzbekistan. The Macao team achieved the brilliant result of 2 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes in total in the diving event. Leong Sut Chan and Leong Sut In were awarded two gold medals in the women's double ten-meter platform and the three-meter board event.
On the first day, Leong Sut Chan and Leong Sut In competed in the open group in the double ten-meter platform event. Having ranked the sixth in the World University Games, they performed more confidently. Eventually, they won the first gold medal in the event this year. On the third day, Leong Sut Chan and Leong Sut In won against the Uzbekistan and Hong Kong teams in the women's double three-meter board, with the margin of 0.5 point, winning another gold for the Macao team.
Leong Kam Cheong, who partnered with Tang Hio Fong in the open group in the men's double three-meter board, beat the contestant from Qatar who was the champion in the one-meter board, and won a silver medal. Leong Sut In won a silver medal in the women's open group in the ten-meter platform, while Leong Sut Chan was awarded a bronze. In addition, two bronzes were won by Leong Kam Cheong in the men's open group in the one-meter board and three-meter board event.
